GREAT BRITAIN:

Tea

Tea has been an important drink in Great Britain for hundreds of years, and is drunk throughout the day in most British households. Last year the British population as a whole drank more than 200,000,000 cups of tea every day!

Bangers and Mash-

Bangers are sausages in England. (The reason sausages were nicknamed bangers is that during wartime rationing they were so filled with water they often exploded when they were fried.)

BRAZIL:

Bolinho de chuva -

It is a traditional food in Brazil.

Feijoada - Our easy-to-do version can be ready for dinner tonight.

JAPANESE:

Tempura
Seafood or vegetables dipped in batter and deep-fried, tempura is served with a dipping sauce and daikon. The word 'tempura' comes from the Portuguese 'tempero' (gravy or sauce) and this dish dates from the mid-16th century, when Portuguese and Spanish culture was first introduced to
Japan. Tempura can be served with a side bowl of rice and soup or on a bowl of rice (tendon) or noodles (tempura udon, tempura soba).

Since Japan is surrounded by ocean, seafood has always been widely consumed as well as rice. Originally, raw fish was fermented in salt to preserve it and eaten with seasoned rice. In Japanese cuisine, sushi indicates dishes that use sushi rice, which is seasoned with a sweet vinegar mixture. Although you can make sushi without using any fish/rawfish, many kinds of fish are used in sushi dishes.

With kare-kare, also known as "peanut stew", theoxtail or ox tripe is the main ingredient that is stewed with vegetables in a peanut-based preparation.
